Plan BEE

To Students:

Are things just not working out like you had planned with school, home, friends, or yourself? It is frustrating, even for adults, when things don’t go the way we want. Coach Connie wants you to have another plan (us adults call this Plan B). Let's make a Plan Bee for you, rather than just giving up and feeling bad about it. Are you struggling with specific issues? Know that you are not alone. Groups can provide a safe place to come together and you might just meet some new friends along the way!

Social Language Groups

Social Language Groups are a fun place to hang out with peers while engaging in Social Emotional Learning (AKA Emotional Intelligence). This group is extra special as it is led by the collaborative efforts of a licensed school counselor and speech language therapist to improve skills such as empathy, executive functioning, perspective taking, social problem solving, and active listing.

Contact us today for our most current schedule of social language groups.

Social Emotional Learning Groups

Some of the most common Plan Bee Groups are issues on:

Self Esteem, Communication, Motivation, Coping Skills, Decision making, Self- Control, Stress, Anger, College Readiness, School Success, Grief, Anxiety, and Empathy.

Contact us today for the most current schedule of Bee Groups.

How do they work?

Plan Bee Groups meet once a week for typically 12 weeks throughout the school year. This provides enough time to get to know one another and start the process of self discovery. You will discuss goals and create action plans. Please call for our school session dates.

We also have special Summer Programs that are scheduled twice a week for 2 weeks with various group dates throughout the summer. Please call for our special scheduling for summer session dates.

Remember, much of the change needs to come from you. Being a part of a group makes you more accountable for your actions so most students find this setting very helpful compared to a one on one experience.

How will a student group help you?

Help in any of these issues will help create balance in your life. Think about it. If you are struggling with getting along with teachers, parents, or friends, how might a communication group help you develop stronger skills?

The tools you learn in a communication group will give you the knowledge to improve the way you think, respond, and approach what you say, how you say it, and when you say it. These skills can help you your whole life and can increase your emotional intelligence, which can make you more successful!

Most adults struggle with these issues as you may have noticed.

Let’s work on these skills now to help you grow into a young healthy adult.
